That $120 Kickstarter game that still hasn't shipped after 18 months
I backed a board game called "Monster Market" back in January 2023 because the kickstarter video looked amazing. The creator kept saying delays were just a few weeks then a few months then suddenly it's been a year and a half. I checked their last update from June and they said molds for the miniatures broke twice so now they're switching factories. Has anyone else ended up just writing off a Kickstarter pledge or do you still hold out hope?

Bought into a "Goblin Market" kickstarter back in 2021 and honestly I joke that it's my retirement fund at this point... probably see the cards in my will before my mailbox.

Man I gotta be real with you, is it really that serious to write it off? lol. @hugog43 called it a retirement fund but come on, it's only been 18 months and they're literally telling you what's happening. Molds breaking is super common in manufacturing, every board game company goes through it. I've had Kickstarters take over 2 years and still show up looking great. Unless the creator straight up ghosts everyone or runs out of money, I'm not calling it dead yet. Most of these projects deliver eventually, just gotta be patient.
