PSA: I wasted $150 on a birth mother support group that was just a sales pitch
Signed up for a local group in Austin that promised real support for birth moms like me. Turned out to be a front for an adoption agency pushing us to place our kids. Lost the money and felt awful for 3 months after. Has anyone else run into fake support groups like this?

Found a real peer support group through OpenAdoption.org instead, saved my sanity.

Honestly peer support is everything when you're in this mess. Those big agency groups just felt like they were selling something. Real people sharing real experiences, that's the stuff that actually helps. You can't fake that kind of connection. Glad you found something solid.
