35 letters written since January, that felt like a lot to see stacked up

I counted them out this morning before sealing another one for my birth son's adoption file. He is turning 9 next month, so I guess I can mail them to the agency or just keep them safe, either way it is more than I thought I would ever manage. Has anyone else written letters to their child even if they are not sure they will ever read them?

Whoa, I have to disagree with the idea that you should just keep them safe. Those 35 letters are proof of 9 years of love, and holding them back means he might never get to hold something you touched every single month. I get wanting to protect him, but honestly the not knowing is worse than anything written on paper. Mail them to the agency and make sure his file says they exist so he has the choice when he is older.
