My power went out right at the climax of the new season finale

I was in my living room in Phoenix, totally hooked on the last episode of that spy thriller, when a summer storm knocked out the electricity. I grabbed my phone and used my data to hotspot my laptop, finishing the show on a tiny screen in the dark. Has anyone else had a binge session totally wrecked by bad weather?

Man, that's the worst. I had a storm kill the power during a big game last year. My phone battery was almost dead, so I just drove to a 24-hour diner that had wifi. Finished watching on my tablet in a booth with some terrible coffee. It wasn't the same as my couch, but it got the job done.

My local diner's coffee is so bad it could restart a dead car battery. I did the same thing during the championship game last season. The waitress kept refilling my cup out of pity while I yelled at my laptop screen. You're right, it's not the same, but that weird public desperation is its own kind of memory now.
