I bailed on The Bear after 4 episodes and I think the hype is wrong
My sister sat me down at her apartment in Boise over Memorial Day weekend and made me start The Bear because she swore it was the best show on TV. I got through 4 episodes and felt nothing except stressed out by the yelling in that kitchen. Everyone keeps saying the quiet moments pay off later but I do not want to sit through 6 more hours of panic attacks to get there. I have binged 5 seasons of other shows in a weekend before, so it is not a patience problem, it is a joy problem. Maybe the yelling is the whole point but I already get enough of that at my actual job. Did anyone else tap out early and never go back, or am I really missing something?
