Remembering that Tuesday in '08 when a vintage Schwinn Paramount came in with a seized seatpost

After three days of trying every trick, including a homemade ammonia/aluminum reaction brew, the owner's simple 'thanks for not giving up' when it finally budged made the whole frustrating week worth it, so what's the most stubborn seatpost you've ever freed?

Freezing the frame is a solid last resort. Had a steel frame once that needed a full night in the walk-in freezer at the local sub shop before anything moved.

Oh man, freezing it? I once spent so long on a stuck post I started to think my shop vise was judging me. Pretty sure I tried everything short of actual magic, and the magic probably wouldn't have worked either.

I mean, did you ever try freezing the frame? That's my last-ditch move.
