Bought a Park Tool PCS-10 stand online for $180 and it wobbles so bad I can't true a wheel
Saw a marketplace listing in Columbus last Tuesday and the guy said it was barely used, so I handed over $180 cash in a gas station lot like an idiot. Got it home, clamped my old Hardrock in by the seatpost, and the whole thing rocks side to side whenever I put real tension on a spoke wrench. Turns out the base plate on that model is known to flex, and a new one from the shop would've only run me about $230 anyway. Anyone got a trick for stiffening up a wobbly stand, or should I just eat the loss and mount it to a piece of plywood?
