My basil on the 4th floor went from sad to huge in 3 weeks, and the fix was stupid simple
Three weeks ago my basil on my balcony in Sacramento was leggy and pale, like 8 inches tall with barely any leaves. I moved the pot from the shaded corner to the railing side and started watering it in the morning instead of at night. The difference is wild, it is now almost 2 feet tall and I have cut it back twice for pesto. Turns out it just wanted about 6 hours of direct sun instead of the 2 it was getting. Has anyone else had a plant totally turn around just from moving the pot a few feet?
Moved my buddy's sad little jalapeno plant from his kitchen window to the front porch and it doubled in size in like two weeks. He was about to toss it too, thing was all stem and no peppers. The morning sun on that porch hit it for maybe 5 or 6 hours and it just went nuts. Kinda crazy what a few feet can do.
