Caught myself overwatering my balcony tomatoes for 3 seasons straight.

Realized last weekend when I saw roots poking out the drainage holes of my 10 inch pot that I was giving them a cup of water every morning like clockwork when they only needed it every 3-4 days has anyone else gotten stuck in a watering routine that killed their yield?

Seems like you're making a bigger deal out of it than it is. A bit of extra water isn't going to kill your tomatoes, just means you might get some sad fruit or whatever. Most people overthink this stuff and the plants turn out fine anyway.

Bet your tomatoes were basically swimming while you thought you were being a good plant parent. Funny how we treat watering like it's a chore we gotta do everyday instead of checking what the plant actually wants.
