My aunt's brownies are a yearly letdown nobody admits

She brings them to all our family gatherings and they're always dry. I added more butter and people said they were good. Is it better to be honest about bad baking or just go along?

Remember when @rowan849 said gentle feedback works, my cousin tried that and now we have great pie.

Adding more butter helps short term, but her recipe might need a real change. Like @rowan849 said, gentle feedback works best, so maybe mention your fix casually. Baking together could make it a nice way to get better results next time.

Heard a chef say gentle feedback helps improve recipes without hurting feelings. Your butter fix was perfect!
