Had to choose between a kitchen scale and measuring cups for my chocolate chip cookies

I went with the scale after watching a baking show on Sunday and the cookies came out way more even, has anyone else switched over and noticed a real difference?

Lol right? I finally ditched my measuring cups last year and honestly it felt like I unlocked a secret level in baking. My cookies actually look like they came from the same batch now instead of a wild variety pack.

I noticed the same thing with my truck actually. I stopped using torque specs by the book and just started going by feel on lug nuts and bolts, and I swear stuff stays tight longer now lol. It's like some things work better when you just trust your hands instead of following every rule to the letter. Reminds me of how my dad used to say recipes are just suggestions once you know what you're doing.
