My alarm clock habit was the real problem, not my roommate's noise
For 8 months I blamed my roommate for slamming doors at 6am, but it turns out my own phone alarm was set to full volume and I never actually woke up to it, just laid there angry. My neighbor across the hall told me she could hear it through the wall and that's when it hit me that I was the one creating the chaos. Has anyone else realized their own routine was the issue after confronting the wrong person?
Tried the opposite fix. Switched to a gradual light alarm that slowly gets brighter over 30 minutes. Wakes me up way calmer and my roommate stopped giving me the death stare at breakfast.
