I thought the whole 'chicken swing' thing was just for Instagram until my Rhode Island Red, Bertha, stopped pecking feathers after we hung one up last Tuesday.

Has anyone else seen a change in flock behavior from adding something simple like that?

Oh my gosh, YES. I was totally in the same boat and thought it was just a silly trend. We put in a simple mirror and a cabbage on a string last month. The difference was crazy. My girls are so much more calm now, they just peck at that cabbage for hours. It really does work to keep them busy and stop the bad habits. I guess sometimes the simple stuff is the best.

My buddy tried the cabbage thing and his hens went nuts for it.
