The ramp lead in Tulsa said to wiggle the cannon plug, not stare at it
Three years back I was chasing an intermittent on a pitot heat circuit in Tulsa and spent 45 minutes with a meter in hand getting nothing. The ramp lead walked by and said the meter lies when the plane is cold, so wiggle the plug while watching the light. Sure enough, one pin backed out a hair and the fault showed up the second I moved the harness. Now I pull and reseat every cannon plug before I even break out the meter, and it has saved me a ton of time. What is your go-to move for intermittent faults that only show up in flight?
