That senior tech who told me to stop using dielectric grease on every connector I touch
After he pulled me aside in the hangar at DFW and showed me how it was actually trapping moisture on a Collins radio rack, I switched to just using it on the threads and haven't had a corrosion callback since - anyone else get humbled by a simple tip from the old guard?

Is trapping a little moisture really that big of a deal for most connectors though?
