Am I the only one who still hand-solders some connectors out of habit?

Honestly, I picked this up from an old timer who insisted on perfect joints. With modern crimp tools everywhere, it feels like a lost art. Ngl, it's saved me a few times when parts were scarce.

Totally get this. I've noticed the same thing with fixing stuff around the house, where the old way of doing something just works better or feels more solid.
