Lowered my car in a Walmart parking lot with a borrowed jack and it went about how you'd guess
So about 6 months ago I finally got a set of lowering springs for my Civic and decided to save the shop fee by doing it myself in my buddy's driveway in Reno. Thing is, his driveway had a slope, so we drove to the Walmart on 2nd Street and started working in the parking lot like total goons. Halfway through the rear, the borrowed scissor jack slipped and the car dropped onto the brake rotor, and a guy pushing a cart full of dog food just said "that ain't gonna buff out" and kept walking. We ended up calling his brother to bring a real floor jack and finished the job under a streetlight, and honestly the car sits level so I'm calling it a win. Anyone else ever done sketchy driveway work that somehow turned out fine?
