Update: my car showed up 11 days late with a bird nest in the wheel well and a Big Gulp cup in the back seat
Hired a transport broker back in March to move my Accord from Phoenix to Chicago, quoted me $850 and said 5 to 7 days. Day 8 I call and the guy says the driver "lost signal in New Mexico" which is not a real place to lose signal. Day 15 the car finally rolls up on a flatbed and the driver hands me the keys like nothing happened. There is a full bird nest wedged in the front wheel well, a 44 oz cup of melted ice in the cupholder, and 62 extra miles on the odometer. I got $150 knocked off after sending photos to the broker, who acted shocked even though I sent him the same pics twice. Has anyone actually gotten a full refund out of one of these brokers, or is the partial credit just how it always goes?
