Unpopular opinion: that 3 week quote turnaround saved me from a bad carrier
I got quotes from 7 brokers for my move from Phoenix to Denver last month and the cheapest one came back in like 2 hours while the one I ended up using took 18 days to send a real number. I was mad at the time, sitting there refreshing my inbox. But when the slow broker finally quoted, he had already checked the carrier's insurance and sent me a copy of it, and the fast one turned out to have 41 complaints on the FMCSA site. Turns out the wait was the review. How long do you all give a broker before you assume they're just slow and move on?
