Saw a truck full of 8 cars on I-80 near Toledo and now I have questions about who to hire
I was driving west on I-80 outside Toledo last Tuesday and got stuck behind a big hauler with 8 cars stacked on it for almost 20 minutes. Six of them looked like regular sedans but two were newer SUVs and one had a cover on it, so the driver was clearly doing a mixed load. It got me thinking about how these companies actually quote you, because a friend paid $1,150 to move a Civic from Columbus to Denver and another guy I work with got told $2,400 for the same run with a Pilot. That is a huge gap and nobody I know can explain why. I need to ship my mom's Camry from Cleveland to Tucson in April and I am scared of picking the wrong broker. Has anyone here used a hauler they would actually call back for a second move, and what did the final price end up being compared to the quote?
