Pro tip: check the ground wire on a 2015 F-150 before you chase a no-start

Had one towed in yesterday with a crank, no fire. Customer already replaced the fuel pump relay. I found the main engine ground strap, passenger side near the firewall, was completely corroded through. Cleaned the connection point with a wire brush and a new 4 gauge cable from the parts store fixed it in twenty minutes. Anyone else run into this on the newer aluminum body trucks?

Yep, had the same exact issue on a 2016.

A 2015 truck already has a ground strap that bad... that's wild. The aluminum body must really speed up the corrosion somehow.
