Serious question, did I waste $180 on a clip-on phone adapter for shots of the moon?
I got one of those phone holders that clamps onto a telescope eyepiece back in March because I wanted moon pics without buying a real camera. The thing is flimsy, and half the time the phone tilts and I get crescent moon smeared across the frame like a bad photocopy. I tried stacking 60 frames from a clear night here in Tucson and every single one came out soft, so I gave up and just shot handheld over the eyepiece. Total spent: $180 after shipping, and I have maybe two okay pictures to show for it. Has anyone gotten sharp results with one of these, or should I have just saved toward a used DSLR?
