Saturn looked like a fuzzy dot until a guy at the Tulsa star party told me to stop zooming in
I'd been maxing out the magnification on my 6 inch Dob for two years, thinking bigger meant better, until he bumped it down to about 60x and the rings snapped into focus in a way I'd never seen, so now I'm wondering if anyone else went through a "more power" phase before figuring this out.
