I always thought stacking was lazy until a guy at the Tuscaloosa star party showed me his 40 hours on M42
He pulled up his laptop and the core wasn't blown out at all, just soft pink and teal swirls from 200 stacked 30 second shots. Now I'm redoing my whole Orion set from January, has anyone else switched after seeing someone's process in person?
Did you sit there watching him process the whole time or just see the final result? I had the same thing happen at a club outreach night when a guy showed me his M31 with like 8 hours stacked, totally changed how I shoot. Now I feel dumb for deleting all my old subs.
