Thinking back to when I never posted online, a weekly question habit changed everything

I used to just read forum threads without ever joining in because I worried my questions were too simple. So I made a rule to ask one thing each week, even if it felt silly. Like last month, I asked how to stop my bike chain from squeaking and got easy fixes from friendly users. Over time, this small habit made me way more confident in seeking help online. Now I share my own tips too, and it feels like being part of a real conversation. It's funny how something so small shifted my whole view on asking for advice. I really miss those days when I was too shy to type a single word.

Believed silence was safer, but this post proved me wrong.

Honestly, that weekly rule is genius because it fights the idea that you need to be an expert first. @the_andrew nailed it about feeling safer silent, but you only learn by jumping in. Now you're proof that the quietest newbies often become the most helpful regulars.
