I keep seeing people ask questions here without giving enough detail

I've been reading posts for a few weeks and noticed a pattern. People will ask 'how do I fix this?' but don't say what 'this' is or what they've already tried. It happened again yesterday when someone asked about a computer problem. I know because I had the same issue last month with my laptop, but their post gave no specs or error messages. Giving clear details from the start gets you a useful answer way faster. What's one piece of info you always include when you ask for help here?

See the same thing with recipes online. People skip right past the actual instructions and go straight to the comments to ask what they already read.
