Accidentally superglued my hand to a tomato plant stake at the Lowe's garden center
I was trying to fix a broken bamboo stake in the potting soil aisle when the bottle exploded in my grip and glued my palm to the green plastic pole for like 10 minutes until an employee brought acetone. Has anyone else had a random DIY project turn into a minor medical emergency for no reason?

Why would you glue anything in a store aisle instead of just buying a new stake for like two bucks? Sounds like you made a simple fix way harder than it needed to be.

You mentioned "made a simple fix way harder than it needed to be" and yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. But honestly, sometimes you're in the middle of a project, you've already got the glue out, and running to the garden section for a new stake feels like a bigger hassle than it actually is. I've definitely done the whole "I'll just make this work with what I've got" thing and ended up making a mess. Not saying it's logical, but when you're in the moment, the dumbest shortcuts make perfect sense. Plus, if you're like me, you probably spent ten minutes looking for the glue before you even started. So yeah, I feel the frustration, but I also feel the logic of just wanting to be done with it.
