Wasted $140 on that so-called Viking rune translation kit
Last month I bought this kit off a museum gift shop in Minneapolis that promised to decode runes on my great grandpa's old knife. Took it home, followed every step, and all I got was a plastic stencil and a pamphlet full of obvious guesses. My local archaeologist friend looked at the blade and said, "that's just a decorative scratch from the 50s." Has anyone else dropped cash on amateur home artifact analysis tools that turned out to be complete junk?
