Took the $400 pole saw over the $1800 bucket truck rental for a 60 foot cottonwood in Fargo
Honestly that was 3 years ago and I still climb everything by hand now because the saw paid for itself in one storm cleanup, but some days I wonder if I should've just paid the rental and saved my shoulders, so tell me if you've made the same call or if I'm just being stubborn.

Used to figure the rental was always the smart play, but a tool that pays for itself in one storm changes the math. Now I'd take the saw and put the rest toward a good massage.
