Bought a $200 tree climbing harness that felt great in the shop but chafes like crazy after 4 hours in the canopy

Spent over $200 on a harness that looked perfect for trimming oaks but now I've got bruises on my hips after just two climbs. Anyone else have a harness that felt fine at first but turned out to be a nightmare on longer jobs?

Did you try the "break it in by wearing it around the house while watching TV" trick? I did that and my wife still won't let me forget the time I fell asleep on the couch strapped to a climbing rope.
