Spent 4 hours on a Samsung dryer that just needed a $2 thermal fuse

The customer in Springfield said it was making a loud noise and not heating. I spent most of the afternoon checking the blower wheel, belt, and motor before I finally found the blown thermal fuse. It was hidden behind the back panel and I just missed it on my first look. Anyone else ever waste a whole afternoon on something that simple?

Ever think maybe the real problem is how they hide these cheap parts? I mean it's a two dollar fuse but they bury it so deep you have to take the whole thing apart. Feels like they make it hard on purpose so you give up and just buy a new one. Idk maybe it's just me but that's what gets me more than the time wasted.
