Walked into a unit in Portland and the 'landlord' was still living there

I showed up for a scheduled tour and this guy in boxers answered, said he'd just extended his own lease for another year and forgot to cancel the listing. He then offered to rent me his couch for $400 a month, which has to be some kind of record for cluelessness. Has anyone else had a landlord straight up admit they had no idea their place was still being rented out?
