Furnace died on a Tuesday in January, he kept saying he'd send someone, so I sent him a text saying I'd call a repair guy and deduct the $180 from next month's rent per our state's rules, and suddenly a tech showed up in 4 hours, so has anyone else had luck with the written-and-deduct move instead of just calling and begging?
