My coworker mentioned something about rental scams in Austin that made me check my own lease twice
She said her cousin lost $1,400 on a deposit for a place that was already rented to someone else, and the "landlord" just stopped answering calls. It hit different because I almost sent money sight unseen last month when I was desperate. Anyone else run into fake listings and have a way to spot them early?
