Ngl, my coworker thought 'shonen' was a type of noodle until yesterday.
Honestly, I was chatting with my tree crew about weekend plans and mentioned catching up on some anime. Tbh, one of the guys got super confused and asked if 'shonen' was a new ramen dish he missed. I had to explain it's a genre, not food, and he just stared blankly. Ngl, now I'm curious why so many anime terms sound like they belong on a menu instead of a screen.

Man, I've seen that happen before. My cousin once picked up a pack of instant pho and was convinced it was just fancy ramen. He made it wrong and everything, it was a mess, lol. Stuff like that makes you feel for the guy, you know? We all have those moments where we mix up simple things.

That "seriously thought it was ramen" bit always cracks me up. It's like people see any noodle soup and their brain just defaults to ramen. Pho deserves more respect, but hey, we all have our blind spots.
