My friend said the new season of 'Attack on Titan' was rushed, but I think the ending fit perfectly.
We argued for an hour last Thursday, with him pointing to the manga's pacing and me focusing on the final character moments. It got me thinking about how people judge an anime's adaptation versus its source material. What side are you on for this kind of debate?

Thursday arguments are the worst, especially over cartoon giants. Honestly, if you both spent an hour on it, the adaptation did its job right. These debates just prove the story got people to care, which is the whole point.

Nah, caring about a story doesn't mean the adaptation was good.

@noah_roberts hit on something, but I gotta gently push back on one part. Thursday night debates over giants eating people are actually the best, not the worst. Me and my friend rewatched the final episode together after our argument, and I pointed out how the bird scene at the end mirrors the first season's opening shot. He finally admitted the anime did that specific visual callback better than the manga panels could. It took us another hour just talking about that one sequence.
