Finally caught the reference in episode 7 after 4 rewatches

I was rewatching the beach episode last night and suddenly realized the background music matched the same track from episode 3 back in 2021. Has anyone else had a moment where an anime callback just clicks way later than it should?

Used to think I was just bad at catching stuff on first watch but nah the creators are actually geniuses with their callbacks. That exact thing happened to me with a character theme that played in s1 and didnt realize till s3 it was the same melody. Lowkey makes me want to rewatch everything again right now.

Heard the composer actually hides hints for future seasons in the early episodes.
