Hot take: cleaning a crusty Game Boy with a toothbrush beat using a $40 ultrasonic cleaner
I picked up a filthy original Game Boy at a garage sale in Reno last month for $15, and the shell was caked in what I think was old soda. I tried my buddy's ultrasonic cleaner first, but it just loosened the gunk without lifting it. A $2 soft toothbrush and some dish soap got every groove clean in about 10 minutes, and the buttons finally click right. Has anyone else found cheap manual tools working better than fancy machines on old handhelds?
