My light leaks went from cool to ugly when I switched labs
Sent the same roll of Portra 400 through two different labs and the second one gave me orange streaks on 14 of 36 frames. Turns out their machine was eating the felt on my Canonet, not adding character like I thought. Anyone got a lab in Portland that actually tapes the door shut before developing?

That felt thing is real, the rollers grab it and before you know it the door seal is gone. Worth asking the lab to tape the door on every roll, not just the first one, because once that felt is chewed up it keeps snagging. A cheap fix is to tape it yourself before you drop it off.
