I finally tried stand developing after years of refusing to, and my messed up rolls look way better
I shot 6 rolls of HP5 at a buddy's wedding in Austin and pushed them all to 1600, and I used to always develop them normally in the tank with constant agitation every 30 seconds. Last month I switched to stand developing with Rodinal at 1:100 for one hour with no agitation at all, and the grain clumped way less and the blown highlights in the reception shots actually came back. Has anyone else here had better luck fixing their ruined pushed rolls this way, or am I just getting lucky?
