Tried unloading film in direct sunlight at a park in Austin and ruined my whole roll

I was at Zilker Park last Saturday and got so excited to swap rolls that I forgot shade makes all the difference. Has anyone else had a rookie mistake like this ruin a perfect set of shots?

Totally feel you on that "forget shade makes all the difference" part. I did the same thing at a beach last summer, popped open the back of my camera like a total noob and fried half a roll of beach portraits. Had to just laugh it off and call it a learning experience for next time.
