Switched from Ilford HP5 to Kodak Tri-X for night shots and I'm not going back
I mostly shoot downtown Cleveland after dark and HP5 at 1600 was giving me mush in the shadows, so I grabbed a few rolls of Tri-X to test. Pushed it to 1600 in Rodinal 1:25 for 9 minutes and the grain is there but the contrast holds up way better under streetlights. Wondering if anyone else has compared these two pushed, or if I'm just fooling myself because I want the switch to matter.
