A chat with my barber gave me a wild idea for the end of The Dark Knight

I was getting a haircut last Tuesday and my barber, Mike, asked what movie I'd seen lately. I mentioned rewatching The Dark Knight. He said, 'What if Harvey Dent lived? Like, Batman takes the blame, but Gordon and Dent secretly work together to clean up the city from the inside.' He laid out this whole plan where Dent uses his 'dead' status to go after mob money without the rules. It stuck with me because it changes the whole 'hero as a symbol' thing into a gritty, three-man conspiracy. Has anyone else heard a cool 'what if' for that movie's ending?

Saw a similar take on a movie forum last year. Someone wrote a whole fan script where Dent fakes his death and becomes a ghost in the legal system. It kept the tragic fall but added this layer of secret justice. Your barber's idea is way more fun though, a proper team-up. Makes you wonder what a third movie with that plot would've looked like.

lol that ghost lawyer idea is wild, @alice_mitchell. The team-up movie would've been way better than what we got.
