Swapped my 15-year-old torque wrench for a digital one and instantly regretted it

Picked the digital model for the beeps and lights, but the old beam type was way faster for doing spark plugs on a Cessna 172 last Tuesday - has anyone else gone back to analog after trying digital?

Sold my digital back within a week after stripping a bolt.

Did you try a screw extractor set first? I've saved a few stripped bolts with those before giving up on the whole back. Usually costs me $15 for a set that lasts years.

Ha, I used to be all about the new tech too. But after swapping a beam style for a digital one myself, I totally get it now. The old way is just plain faster and more reliable when you're in a tight spot.
