Spent $400 on a borescope that can't see past my own thumb

Bought a cheap articulating borescope off Amazon for a turbine inspection because the Snap-On one was too pricey. The tip kept flopping sideways on the first fan blade and the image looked like a blurry potato. Got my money back through the return policy but lost a full day of the aircraft's downtime. Anyone else had better luck with a specific budget brand for borescope work?
