Found out my air fryer uses less power than my coffee maker, and I checked the math twice
I got one of those cheap plug in power meters last month and started testing stuff around the kitchen just for fun. My air fryer pulled about 1,400 watts for 12 minutes on a batch of frozen chicken thighs, which came out to roughly 0.28 kWh. Then I plugged in my drip coffee maker and it hit 900 watts but ran for 25 minutes while I kept reheating the pot, so it ended up around 0.37 kWh. I honestly thought the air fryer would be the power hog in my house and it was not even close. Now I run it at 400 degrees for veggies probably four nights a week and my electric bill barely moved. Has anyone else actually measured theirs, or am I the only nerd with a watt meter in the kitchen drawer?
