Turned my back on AI image tools for a year, now I use one every day

I figured AI art was just a gimmick, something that made hands look like melted crayons. Then last month I had to make 40 product mockups for a client in Austin and the design budget was basically zero. I gave one of those generators a shot out of pure desperation, and honestly the first 10 tries were rough. But once I figured out the prompt wording, it nailed the lighting and angles in about 15 minutes. My client thought I paid a photographer, that's how clean the results were. Now I use it for quick banner ideas before I even open my design software. Has anyone else had a tool they hated until a project forced them to try it differently?
