Spent $500 on a custom GPT for my small business and it was a total bust

I hired a freelancer to build a chatbot for my online store to handle basic customer questions. After three months of tweaking, it still gives wrong answers about shipping times and product details. The thing can't even pull the right info from our own FAQ page. Has anyone actually gotten a working AI assistant without spending a fortune?

Three months and it can't read your own FAQ?

That's a pretty low bar to clear honestly. It's basic functionality that should have been ready at launch. Makes the whole thing feel rushed.

Launching a complex service like this is a huge task. The FAQ is probably a low priority compared to core features that keep the site running. They might be a small team fixing bigger problems first.
