I used to think AI writing tools were just fancy spell checkers

In my experience, I was sure they couldn't handle real content. I changed my mind after a project last month where I had to write 50 product descriptions. I used one of those tools, just to try it, and it gave me a full draft in about 20 minutes. It wasn't perfect, but it gave me a solid start that I could fix up. It saved me hours of staring at a blank page. Has anyone else had a project where an AI tool actually surprised you by being useful?

Honestly same, I totally wrote them off as glorified autocorrect. Then I got stuck on a stupid email newsletter and the AI basically wrote my first draft for me. Kinda scary how good it is now lol.

My marketing team uses AI for first drafts every week now. It saves hours but the voice feels generic sometimes. Still, it's hard to argue with the results.

Funny enough I tried AI for a birthday card once and it wrote a poem that rhymed better than anything I've ever written.

Tbh it's wild how fast AI went from a party trick to basically running half our daily tasks without us noticing.
