Spent 6 hours trying to get past a collapsed escalator just to see the food court
The service corridor map said there was a staircase near the old Sears loading dock, but it took me six trips around that lower level with a dead flashlight before I finally spotted the door hidden behind a fake wall of 90s tile.

Bet that fake wall used to hide a utility closet or something. Probably why the map never showed it, they just covered it up and forgot. You basically discovered a secret passage they didnt even know existed. Kinda makes me wonder what else is hiding behind those old panels, maybe some dead malls have entire floors sealed off like that.
